What

We would like to better integrate independent bookstores into our eBook sales efforts and are testing the waters by implementing our new Bookstore Partnering Program that will benefit both of us. Our hope is that bookstores looking for new sales opportunities and a piece of the technology pie, might be interested in selling our All-Title Sets bundled with a one-year eBook Site License to schools and libraries in their area. We have had pretty good success selling this package to schools but we want to grow this business and would welcome your help.

What is an eBook Site License?  It is unlimited internet access to all 55 (soon to be 60) Sylvan Dell eBooks, featuring Auto-Flip, Auto-Read, and flipviewer technology with selectable English and Spanish text and audio. These eBooks are serious literacy and language learning tools and are the most technologically advanced eBooks on the market. The license can be used on all school computers and is ideal for smartboards and internet projection. When you receive orders, submit them via email, phone or fax or through our online store. We fill the order and ship same day directly to you or to your customer, and we get them set up with their free eBooks within 48 hours. That's it!

We treat the book sales to your store as we would any book order for 55 books but one nice thing is you don’t have to worry about inventory. If they want library processing or colibri covers, we can do that too!

You can of course charge whatever you like for the Book/Site License packages but should be aware that we do also sell direct and our prices are $582 for the hardcover package and $315 (times 2) for the paperbacks:

Once you have sold to a school, it is essentially your account and we’ll steer future business back to you. If they buy online or insist on direct purchase, we’ll keep you posted and cut your store a check for 20% of net. Base price on the Site License is currently $599/year. Each year, we publish 10 new titles, and schools with the site license often just buy the new titles as they are released so that could be steady downstream business.

Here is another partnering idea which might help support sales of Sylvan Dell titles in your store. If your customers fax us proof of purchase on any Sylvan Dell book and include name, phone and email address, we’ll email them a 180-day eBook access for the title(s) they purchased.
