Description: This grant is for a free, one-year site license ($599 value) providing unlimited access to all 40 (soon to be 45) Sylvan Dell eBooks, featuring flipviewer technology with selectable English and Spanish text and audio. The license can be used on all school computers, is ideal for smartboards, and may be placed on secure school websites, enabling students and their families' access from home. Current grants awarded will expire on 6/23/2010. (Site licenses awarded prior to 1/1/09 expire 6/23/09; those awarded 1/1/09-4/30/09 expire 12/15/09.)

Eligibility: For Public & Private Schools: Grants will be awarded to one elementary school per district on a first come, first serve basis, and are open to every district in the United States (Non-US schools please email Grant Coordinator). Schools that have already received the grant are not eligible, but other schools within the district are welcome to apply. Should more than one school from a single district apply, we will send a nice regret email and copy the district contact in case district wishes to prioritize other than first come, first serve. Schools that applied in the past, but were not awarded the grant, are welcome to re-apply. For our Private School friends not under district supervision, we award licenses based on a prorated share of Private Schools by State.

*   For Title I and Title III Schools: Additional grants will be awarded to Title I/III schools and allocated based on a prorated share of Title I Grant Funding to Local Educational Agencies. *   For Homeschooling Associations & Support Groups: Grants are available to Associations & Support Groups with memberships of 10 families or greater for the exclusive use of their members. Research Feedback: We want this to be a win-win for everyone involved, and in an effort to improve the process and capture lessons learned, we would appreciate feedback. We ask that, after schools have had a chance to use and assess the license, you and your teachers complete our Grant Awardee Survey Form or just email your thoughts to Grant Coordinator. Here are some of the things we'd like to know:

• A few examples of how the eBooks and online educational material are being used
• If used from home through the school's secure website, any comments on how that process worked and any feedback from students / parents.
• We would appreciate hearing any recommendations regarding technology, content and/or process.
• We don't want the feedback constrained by questionnaire and ask that you tell us anything else that you think we need to know.

Computer/IT Requirements: All that is needed is broadband internet access. The eBooks will display with Windows or Mac operating systems and do not require special software, plug-ins or eBook reading devices.

Once you submit your application, we will review it and get back to you by email within two business days. If you do not receive an email within two days, you can assume there is an email delivery problem and you need to call us at 877-958-2600 or email us. We have seen repeatedly, that school filters block our emails and we have to work by email.
